Metcards II

Back in November, I posted about Metcards (you’ll probably want to read that for background knowledge), which are tickets for public transport in Melbourne. This is part two of that post. ‘Tis a bit delayed, because I somehow deleted all my scans and was not very motivated to continue. Also, WordPress is a total pain when it comes to this. But anyway, let the picspam begin!

Wow! Melbourne has such cool illustrations on their Metrocards; that’s so neat that you’ve been able to collect so many! I wish New York would step up their game and stop using their ugly yellow design. :P

These Metrocards are so cool :D My city wants to introduce Smart Cards, which I think are essentially like the Miki thing. However, it’s not like the bus tickets/passes we have now are nice or anything :P

Nice! I particularly like the Ron Tandberg one. Minneapolis and St. Paul should buck up their ideas; my bus pass pales in comparison to those.

I’ve been looking forward to seeing the second instalments of these Metcards! They’re so artistic and interesting compared to the ones in Sydney which are essentially, just a slab of color! I certainly understand why you’d want to collect them. And boy, when you mention 2000 was a whole decade ago…it doesn’t feel so long ago at all!

I’m going to miss Metcards when Myki is fully implemented. :(
